7. The No Ball Prize - For the Greatest Benefit to Ball Pits

It's finally done! After a couple of intense days of testing different kernels we've finally finished our report. At least that's what we're going to say tomorrow when we actually write the last parts and hand it in. But we promise, it is more or less done at this point.

The tests were extremely accurate and not at all improvised on the spot. We found a couple of kernels that had some weird behaviours in a couple of cases and we tried to narrow down our report on these edge cases. Turns out we could get quite a few pages from those little kernels. In the end we didn't manage to make a ball pit. At least it doesn't look like one. We instead spent our time trying out different kernels which I guess is a technically  a "better use of our time".  Still, we managed to find what worked best for us and we've attached a video of that below.

For all other videos, Here's a link to a playlist containing all videos that we made (excluding the ones we uploaded directly to blogger, can't be bothered to download those)

"Esteemed guests and esteemed colleagues, It is with great humility and honor that I stand before you today, having been bestowed with the prestigious No Ball Prize for my research on devising a velvety ball pit for McDonald's ball pit simulation company. This extraordinary achievement would have remained a distant dream if it weren't for the guidance and support of many individuals, particularly my esteemed course examiner. I am humbly grateful for their unwavering support and sagacious counsel throughout my academic odyssey. Their unwavering commitment and expertise have been of immense value in shaping my research and leading me to this great honor. Furthermore, I would like to express my gratitude to McDonald's for providing me with the opportunity to conduct this research. Their steadfast devotion to offering children the best possible play experiences has been a true inspiration, and I am grateful for the trust they placed in me to assist them in achieving this objective. In conclusion, I must once again extend my heartfelt appreciation to my esteemed course examiner for their invaluable contribution to my academic success and for their role in shaping my research that led to this distinguished award.
